Nestled on the southern coast of West Cork, the Estate epitomizes the enchantment of the Irish countryside on a 163 acres with a 40 acre private lake and 12km of walking trails. The position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the property including planning, organizing, directing, and managing all departments. The position requires a high-energy, enthusiastic individual who has an eye for detail. Especially critical to the position is the ability to focus on providing excellence in guest and customer service, maintaining the unparalleled level of quality and service that is expected at this truly unique establishment.

The Hotel Manager will coach and lead his/her team with a genuine "can do" attitude. He/she is proactive and will nurture and build effective teams, actively contributing to the selection, training and retention of high caliber personnel at all levels. The selected individual will maintain a high profile with guests and be able to translate their needs and expectations to the owner to ensure ultimate guest satisfaction.

The candidate is a guest-focused, entrepreneurial, and proactive hotelier with demonstrated success in deluxe hotel/resort operations with high guest satisfaction as the primary objective. He/she has a proven record in delivering the highest standards of service and product excellence while at the same time focusing on bottom line results. Equally important is an understanding of building a business and brand – understanding the importance of an activity-drive property and that each guest interaction with the entire team is equally important, from entry level to Department Heads.

The Hotel Manager is a highly visible leader who leads from the front; this is not an office-heavy position.  The successful candidate demonstrates his/her commitment to running a quality operation, not only through personal style but through his/her managerial leadership and personal involvement daily.

He/she can interact effectively and regularly with owners, guests and staff of all levels and cultures, thus an unpretentious degree of sophistication, combined with diplomacy and excellent communication and social skills are required.

The individual is a team leader, a team player, and a team builder, and has the motivation and enthusiasm to incite and guide others through personal example - the sleeves must always be rolled up and hands must always be ready to get "dirty". He/she possesses integrity, discipline, and a great sense of loyalty to the organization.
