Cuvee at Chatham Inn is a small restaurant in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. We serve a five course tasting menu and have a small team of 5 cooks. We are striving to push the quality of our cuisine with a new Chef and recent renovation.

The Chatham Inn, located in the charming town of Chatham, United States, is seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As the second-in-command in our kitchen, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of culinary excellence and supporting our Executive Chef in daily operations.
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, development, and implementation
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality food preparation
- Manage and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste
- Contribute creative ideas for seasonal menu changes and special events
- Ensure consistent food quality and presentation across all dishes
- Step in for the Executive Chef when necessary, managing all aspects of kitchen operations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent guest experiences
- Participate in staff training and development programmes
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a high-end restaurant or hotel kitchen
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role
- Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen management
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Expertise in menu planning, recipe development, and cost control
- Proficiency in inventory management and ordering systems
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Creativity and passion for culinary innovation
- Knowledge of various cuisines, particularly those relevant to fine dining
- Understanding of local and seasonal ingredients
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
