s a Sommelier at Nayara Resorts, you will be much more than a wine expert — you will be a creator of unique sensory experiences for our guests. Your role will be essential in crafting unforgettable moments through personalized recommendations, thoughtfully curated pairings, and a deep understanding of our culinary offerings.

You will serve as the ambassador of wine and spirits, mastering both the technical aspects — such as wine regions, styles, and service — and the emotional connection that elevates each dining experience. With in-depth knowledge of our menus, you’ll guide guests toward pairings that enhance each dish and tell a compelling story.

In the dining room, you will lead by example, becoming a reference point for your colleagues in terms of knowledge, elegance in service, and strict adherence to the hotel’s excellence standards. Your passion and sensitivity will be key to transforming every meal into a truly memorable experience.


Essential Requirements :

  • 3 to 4 years of experience as a Sommelier

  • Certified Sommelier Diploma

  • Strong ability to create refined wine and food pairings

  • Advanced English proficiency (crucial for international guest interactions)

  • In-depth knowledge of wines, spirits, and beverage service

  • Training in etiquette and fine dining protocol

  • Customer service training

Highly Desirable Qualifications:

  • Sales knowledge 

  • Experience in bar and restaurant operations

  • Human relations training 

  • Knowledge of tableware and proper table setting (menaje and plaqué)

Complementary Skills 

  • Conflict resolution training

  • Basic culinary training (to better understand food and pairing dynamics)

  • Team supervision or leadership training

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Opera and Symphony systems
